2022/2023 MODERN DAY SLAVERY STATEMENT

This statement acts to satisfy the requirements of Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“Act”), by setting out the approach of Custom Links Care LTD to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and labour rights violations in its supply chains.

We continue to take our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and trafficking within our supply chain seriously.

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE

  1. Custom Care Links Limited exists as a sole entity operating in the UK exclusively.
  2. Custom Care Links Limited is owned by a sole Director, with the companies’ head office being in Westcliff-on-Sea.
  3. Custom links participates in the recruitment and supply of Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Support workers, Personal Assistants, and health and social care providers. These services are offered in a face-to-face format 24 hours a day, with Custom Links Care acting as an agency.

DEFINITIONS

Custom Links Care considers that modern slavery encompasses.

  1. Human trafficking.
  2. Forced work, through mental or physical threat.
  3. Being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse.
  4. Being dehumanised, treated as a commodity, or bought, or sold as property.
  5. Being physically constrained or to have restriction placed on freedom of movement.
  6. Retaining pay from staff without good reason.

    COMMITMENT

    1. Custom Links Care LTD acknowledges its responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking within its own businesses and in its supply chains. Custom Links LTD understands that this requires an ongoing review of both its internal practices in relation to its labour force and its Supply Chain.
    1. Custom Links Care LTD has a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery. It will refrain from entering business, and/or will discontinue any current business with any other organisation which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
    1. The labour Supplied by Custom Links Care LTD in pursuance of the services it provides are conducted in United Kingdom, and no labour provided by Custom Links Care LTD in the pursuance of the provision of its own services shall be obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking.
    1. Custom Links Care LTD function as an employment agency, therefore, offer work and pay on a per shift, or hourly basis, with Custom Links Care LTD ensuring our procedures also comply with UK law and address environmental management, health and safety and equality legislation.

    POTENTIAL EXPOSURE

    1. Custom Links Care LTD considers exposure to modern day slavery to be moderate. Therefore, has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business nor the business of any organisation that it supplies services to it.
    1. In the operation of its business, Custom Links Care LTD main supply chains are those related to the provision of services (Its Human Resources). Custom Links Care LTD considers its main exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking to exist in its supply chains.

      STEPS

      1. Custom Links Care LTD has not, to its knowledge, and will not, to its knowledge conduct any business with another organisation which has been found to be or have been involved with slavery, or human trafficking.
      1. In accordance with section 54(4) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act), Custom Links Care LTD has contacted (or attempted to contact) all first tier suppliers (Its Human Resources). to set out our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and to ensure that slavery and/or human trafficking is not taking place and will seek to discontinue business with any supplier found by the enforcement authorities to be involved in modern slavery.
      1. Custom Links Care LTD encourages use of its whistleblowing policy to report any concerns regarding modern slavery and will investigate any complaints thoroughly.
      1. Custom Links Care LTD standard supplier contract agreements include modern slavery and human trafficking undertakings. We expect our supply chain to respect and comply with all applicable laws, including the Act, and under our standard contracts, reserves the right to terminate its arrangements with any supplier which is found to be in breach of the Act.

      TRAINING

      1. Upon commencement of employment, all employees undergo a structured digital induction process. All employees are made aware of The Group policies relating to standards of behaviour that it requires from them.
      1. Custom Links Care LTD also provides training on awareness of modern slavery to those identified as having responsibilities in this regard, namely those involved in finance, and procurement.

      ASSESSMENT OF EFFECTIVENESS IN COMBATTING MODERN SLAVERY

      1. To ensure effectiveness in combatting modern slavery, The Group maintains an accurate supplier list including contact details. It will ensure action is taken in response to reports of modern slavery in its supply chains and any complaints made via the whistleblowing policy will be responded to in accordance with the policy.
      1. Following a review undertaken for the Custom Links Care LTD statement of the previous fiscal year, Custom Links Care LTD confirms its supplier list is up to date for the current fiscal year.
      1. As in the previous fiscal year, there have been no reports that any of The Group’s suppliers have been involved in activities covered by the Modern Slavery Act.

      NEXT STEPS

      Custom Links Care LTD is committed to continuous improvement in this area and will review and monitor and, where necessary, enhance our standards, policies, and procedures, as well as improve the training and communications about the Act.

      This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The statement has been approved by the Director of Custom Links Care LTD Liwena Liwena on 09 December 2022 and signed by himself.
